Keeping with the positive, helpful threads ....
We have found that it seems to boost sales quite a bit by listing "new" store inventory items on a somewhat regular basis.
We try to list some new items in our store at least once a week if not more often. (new items for our store, not just "new" condition) This is in addition to daily auction listings. We currently sell new items that we purchase at wholesale, so it may be a little easier for us to do this as opposed to selling items from Estate sales or the like.
We have 100's of products ending at 100's of different times which can increase impulse buying in addition to a steady flow of motivated "watcher" purchases. Not only that, but the newly listed items will appear at the opposite side of the spectrum then the ending items. Mixed times can help your store to appear at the front of eBay searches at all times.
This seems to generate general interest and "excitement" in a store ... in addition to repeat customers. once a customer realizes that you list "new" items on a regular basis they will likely add you to their "favorite seller" list and take a peek at your store more often.
Suggestion ... set a schedule that your buyers can recognize to some degree. Regularity is a sign of stability.
Suggestion ... spread out listing days and times to create a steady river of ending listings in your store.
Hope this gives you something to think about and maybe motivate ....
