No one is sure how or why "Christmas In July" celebrations came about. Some speculate that an Irish group who enjoyed the winter snow in Sydney, Australia's Blue Mountains during the summer decided to throw a party....and who can resist a good party?!
Whatever the origin, now millions of people worldwide like to have a festive holiday celebration in the hot and humid month of July....and retailers are using this as a way to draw in customers during a normally slow sales period. July is the perfect time to hit the clearance racks or start shopping for the actual Christmas holiday.
